Popped and poured from my 57 degree cellar. Pinot noir from Bodega Chacra in the Patagonian region of Argentina. Moderate red color. Initially very closed on opening. Needed time to warm up and open up in the glass. After an hour the wine exhibits red cherry, tea, soy and some green pepper on the nose. On the palate it is clearly a well made wine, not over ripe, with good acidity. Not quite California and not old world burgundy. This is the entry level pinot. I also own the 55 and the 22 from Bodegas Chacra. Letting them sit a bit before I taste them as well.
