Well integrated blend with ripe fruit and a long lasting finish. Cherry, vanilla and oak flavors are prevalent. Smooth and easy drink. A great bottle from Argentina.

2005 Bodegas Callia Grand Callia Argentina San Juan
Very balanced nose : blackberries, mild oak, red fruits. Very complexe and full body mouth. To drink now and cellaring till 2012-2013.

Nose: leather, blackberries, mild oak, herbs...exciting exotic aromas come out of the glass. Very complex nose. Mouth: full body but elegant and velvety at same time. Firms tannins. Very balanced and does not seem to have 14,5% alcohol. Long aftertaste. One of the best Argentinean wines I've tasted so far. It is not like any other Malbecs from Argentina. This wine follows a different path and it's different from the majority of the Argentinean wines. Totally recommended!!

A wonderful bottle that brings to mind a big, reasonably priced 1990s Aussie Shiraz. Rich, round, full, a great wine for the money.
