Agree wholeheartedly with FB's tasting notes on this wine. This is a big boy and not for the faint of heart. My bottle did require over four hours of a combo of decanting and slow ox to fully come together and integrate the fruit, minerality, structure, and dark earthy notes into a velvety package. Still evolving in the glass down to the last sip more hours later. Great QPR.
I hadn't had a B cellars in awhile, and this one really overperformed in the moment - glad to find an '18 cab that is firing on all cylinders. Gave this 2 hours of slow ox, and drank during and after dinner.
full, rich black and red fruits with notes of baking spice, leather. full body, great length with a very satisfying saline and mineral driven finish. nicely integated tannins. great transition from the full fruit to the dry finish.
This is 100% cab from two vineyard sources. I would have guessed Stags leap, given the intense crushed stone and gravel on the finish.
up next will be either Star or Ehrlich, 18 or 19, whichever my buddy Mark1npt would suggest

Aromas of balck cherry, plum, bakcberry, spice and toasted oak. Silky tannins with dark chocolate, oak and black fruit flavors. Smooth 15-20 second finish.

this vineyard is out standing. Good balance of fruit but not over powering.

Took a long long decant. The wine is still young. But the roots are there for a fabulous complex wine. Suggest 4-6 hr decant.
