Had at Whitestone at the beach. Unfortunately this was really out of balance and just heavy wood coming through, to the undrinkable point. Kept coming back to see if it got better, it didnt, and then I just gave up. I guess it could have been an off bottle, but based on the other reviews about high oak it may just what this has to offer. I dont remember these being this out of whack. On a side note the OG 226 sav blanc we had last night actually got better over the last year where as this og 36 appears to have become less integrated over the last year.
Day 2 update: after 24hr in bottle served a bit warmer and had with grilled chicken salad. The oak way less heavy, some tropical fruit came out, and there was enough acid on the finish to compete with the rich mouthfeel. Last glass was much more enjoyable. Glad i had a chance to have this on day 2. Bumping up rating and will give futute bottles 24hr decant.

2 hour decant. Had with butternut squash soup and grilled chicken salad. Soft and inoffensive. For me, there is not enough acid to cleanse the palatte and gets lost when pairied with the creamy butternut squash soup. It's fine for the low price paid, but falls short of "super enjoyable". We prefer all of the other OG chardonnays (77,128,133, 185, 233) we have had more than this.

11/10/2023 - Steve Simmons Does not like this wine:
Too much oak on PnP not enjoyable at all. Hiding remaining bottles and will make sure to do 1+ day decant with hope the oak will integrate.

PNP no formal notes. Was just ok. Next bottle I will try and open the day before and see that helps.
