PnP that really began to perform at a high level after 90 minutes open. Really everything one could ask for; got lucky. Could well last another decade at a high level though I see no reason to wait.

Dinner with Brian, Lauren & Bill at Elaine's, Chapel Hill. Amber in color, this wine exhibited aromas and flavors of apricots, roasted fruits and a slight madeirization. A nice wine to begin the festivities but not up to the level of the other bottles next to it. Interestingly I've seen this same slight oxidation/madeirization effect on other '89 BAs from Muller Catoir and Richter. 50+12+11+7.5+7.5 = 88
