$79.99 retail, before discount. Tasted side by side with the 2004 Bertagna Vougeot 1er Cru Clos de la Perriere (Monopole) and Vosne-Romanee Les Beaux Monts (see TNs), the NSG Murgers was fairly dense but less aromatic than the other two wines. Less spice than the V-R Bx Monts. On the palate, medium weight, with red fruit. Nice balance. A touch of oak. Nice.

(Bertagna Nuits St.Georges Les Murgers) Closed - almost no smell. The tannins are more to the fore vs the Vosne. Good fruit with nice depth to it. Very good length, though the tannin is just dominating. Give this 3-4 years in the cellar to soften.

Tire, cherry, asphalt and rubber subway odours, nose of suntan lotion and red oxidization, metal, dill, tire most of all... Very nice.
