Project that picks only the purest Garnacha from vineyards as old as 1940. High altitude Garnacha at 850 meters (Calatayud can be as high as 1,000m). Maceration 17 days, aging 10 months in new French oak barrels. In glass pale garnet demonstrating bottle aging. Nose shows black cherry, red plums, spice: cedar, nutmeg, cloves. Very medicinal. Touch of chocolate. Palate follows nose in flavors. Dry, med+ acidity, high alcohol, firm tannins despite thin skinned varietal. Can drink now but still room to age.

Plum, black fruit, earthy. Not enough balance on the alcohol.
