crisp, a bit juicy, very correct with unmistakable St. Estephe rock quarry at the center... but perhaps a bit too soft and sauve in style given the 70% merlot. new oak is present (70% aged in barrels 1 year old or younger) but it is well-integrated and not a milkshake wine.

A merchant who has received from the Magrez Estates a set of 2019 EP wines in a lovely box with 0.375 bottles organized this tasting. Overall the vintage showed very well, reminiscent of 2009 or 2015. TN: Much lighter than the other red wines in the Magrez line up, an elegant St.Estephe, precise, does not not want to be more than it can be. Will need a few years of cellaring. Nice food wine.

Relatively deep colour; a little shy on the nose. Medicinal lift, black and red fruits, liquorice and minerals; lovely mouth feel here, plush tannins and builds in intensity on the palate. Good density, volume. Has a nice dark mineral streak too. Fruit is tightly wound but good potential. Ambitious wine. A bit warm on the finish but it’s a Very warm day to taste this!

Costco winner. Got everyone talking about it. Anise and floral. Great mouthfeel. Defo stocking up — 4 months ago
