44% Rita’s Crown, 22% Radian, 22% Rio Vista, 12% Sanford & Benedict: 227 Cases: On the nose the red fruits mainly cherry and raspberry was riper and showed as more youthful. Some nice pepper and cedar notes are introduced on the palate. Black cherry and wild strawberry lead to a lingering finish. Wine Making Note: 17 months in 36% new French oak barrels.
Tasted next to the 2016 vintage.

Medium ruby Medium plus intensity aromas: cherry, red cherry, black cherry, raspberry, tart cranberry, pomegranate, vanilla, wet leaves, forest floor; developing
Dry, high acidity, medium tannin, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus flavor intensity (also get tobacco, stewed strawberries, and baking spices on palate. Maybe a little vegetal?). Medium plus finish.
Tannins were a bit more upfront than I expected. But I think this will help with aging. Acidity is quite high here, which I like. This is a “sit up straight” after the first sip kind of wine.

PnP'd. Nice aromatics, wonderful balance and mouthfeel. Excites entire palate. Long finish. One of the best pinots I've had this year.
