Gorgeous wine. Saturated dark fruit. Starting to develop secondary flavors. Signature Bond flavor profile with licorice and tar on the finish. Tannins beautifully integrated. This is drinking very nicely now but will easily last another 10 if not 20 years
A lovely wine. Very aromatic, with an attractive and rather gentle nose of cherries, malt, hints of spice cake. On the palate, lush and mouth-filling, sweet yet balanced by the soft tannins, long finish. Really a delicious wine. My main criticism is that the midpalate seems muddled and as a result, the wine itself comes off as a bit soft and undistinguished. But very enjoyable to drink.
Blood red. Initial nose of red raspberries, cherries and apples. As it opened, it evolved to camphor, mint and the sharpness of alcohol. Initial tastes were red fruits and an overwhelming alcoholic heat. This eventually burned off. The wine needed at least 2 hours to open, and once it did, the notes were milk chocolate, camphor, tobacco, ripe plums and a hint of tart cherries and alcohol on the finish. The acids are soft and integrated. This is a huge, chewy wine, but too alcoholic. A couple of more years in bottle will help.
