  Derek's tasting note: Fairly closed nose. Hints of paint thinner, but not entirely unpleasant. A bit harsh, yet with faint fruity notes. Not a terrific nose. Great start, light fruit. Bitter finish. Basically, I've had much better Barbera d'Astis. I'll drink this one because it is here, but wouldn't go out of my way to find this one again.
  
  An hour later... got quite a bit better. Whether or not it is the wine or the quantity of it I have consumed is in question. But the overall experience has definitely improved. Still not one of my top 10 though.

  Heritage: Hay-like at first taste, a bit sour a’s notes in mth; 2nd taste revealved more berry fruit; juicy flavors. In general I think this is low quality.
