Light nose, delicate! Still very young, but nice pronounced acidity. Nice length. Keep this bottle in your cellar for at least 5 more years. I think a reference Boyle from Franken

Screw cap. Light lemon colour. Floral notes, pear, green apple (peel), green fruit, and citrus notes, with superb length. At this point, the acidity is pronounced, the wine tastes sour, and the texture is a little rough (but softened with aeration). This young 2019 is not as striking yet as the 2018 was at its early stage, but it shows great potential. Hold. 91++

Sauer - Ziereisen - Jura - Champagne; 9/9/2020-9/16/2020 (Escherndorf - Efringen-Kirchen - Arbois - Cramant/Bouzy/Verzenay): From 75cl traditional Riesling-style bottle at Horst Sauer tasting room, opened previous day. Huge wine. SO2/struck match on the nose; the entry is currently at once fat, sharp, deliciously sour; bitter astringent green apple peel and exciting, jagged acidic/mineral structure on the mid-palate; dry astringent finish. This needs 5-10 years, but should turn out to be superb. Fairly priced for 27€ at cellar door. 91-92(?)P

Too young, but already great! One of the best Sylvaners I have ever had!
