  • Stylistically this wine is very much along the lines of the 2014. Deep ruby color with a layered bouquet of cassis, black plum, mint, orange peel, nutmeg, rose petal, graphite, and herbs. The wine is tightly wound with palate notes of cassis, blackberry, eucalyptus, espresso, gravel, minerals, black olive, nutmeg, thyme, and cigar tobacco. The very long vibrant finish has notes of orange peel, cassis, leather, and cigar tobacco. The tannins are ripe with a slight firmness. Overall, the wine has great balance, elegance, and concentration. It is a classically styled Cabernet Sauvignon that should hit maturity in 8-10 years and gracefully evolve for 20+ years.
