Served at Easter with ham. Deep color almost like a claret. Peppery start and more tartness than expected. Occasional tastes of earth/umami, but not as much as I would prefer. Very nice, long finish. Solid wine but, for the price point, leaves a little to be desired.

Nothing to it. Not corked but little flavor. While always stored properly, perhaps waited too long but very disappointing. Ended up dumping the last half of the bottle opting for something better. I would not buy again.

Silver Oak Healdsburg Tasting: The 2018 Twomey Dundee Hills has a pleasant if light-weight structure and offers flavors of bright raspberry, spice, and earth. It should be a full $15-20 cheaper. At $68, there’s a whole world of Oregon pinot that’s more interesting and better executed—Adelsheim, Bergstrom, Big Table Farm, L’Angolo, Patricia Green, Domaine Serene, and Stoller to name just a few. Drink over the next 5-7 years.
