Another wine we caught just in time. It was on the discount rack of our favorite local retailer, and probably had been sitting upright for most of it's life. The very golden color is also mentioned by those who have tasted it several years ago. There was some bottle funk on the nose upon opening, that does not completely dissipate. The cork was in surprising good shape, about half saturated. At this point, the fruit, and balancing acid are very mature and totally integrated. There is peach with honey, apricot and fading citrus. No longer crisp, and a little tired. Peach skin and pit with apricot on the finish.

TB: Decent bottle of chard. Yellow in color with some sulfur-like funk showing on the nose immediately upon opening. This blew off with time. Very nice notes of mineral, fruit, and spices such as nutmeg and cinamon, although a bit restrained. This isn't overly oaked and didn't seem to go through much, if any malo. Medium to long finish. Probably hold off another year or so to see how things develop before trying again.

Wasn't impressed. QPR is poor, I've had better chardonnay for $15. It has a smooth, buttery texture, but the taste was flat.
