Flowers on the expressive nose. On the palate, cherry, sour cherry, black cherry, some baking spice. Ripe fruit, good acidity and surprisingly structured. Still youthful, with nice character, it will continue to develop over the next few years.

3rd bottle of Briceland tasted this week, and another winning Pinot. This one shows more obviously structured than did the Humboldt '18. There was also a very apparent peppercorn note (black, green or red?) that was wildly apparent on the nose and palate. Perky red cherry fruit mixes with sour apples, chalky minerality, green herbal + floral components and very powdery, ever-present tannins laying structure across the passing wine. I kept a half-glass in the emptied bottle to taste tonight (3rd night open), but I believe I have a good sense of this wine, which is distinctive for its place and maker.

Bright, expressive, red fruits (cherry/dark cherry) with green herbs, flowers, and spice. Medium bodied with good structure. While this wine should easily last for another half decade or more, it's in a wonderful place now and provides ample joy. I was smiling a lot as I drank this wine; an absolute delight.

Dusty red and black fruits on the nose. Blackberries, cherry cola. Warm baking spices, dried sage, toasted aniseed, damp soil and savoury herbs. Tightly structured on the palate, with bright fruits and prominent dusty tannins. Good wine. Needs 3-5 more years.
ABV: 13.1% Closure: Twin Top Decant: 4h Stem: Gabriel Glas StandArt Assemblage: 2 years in old (I'm guessing used). Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 73 cases produced

An expressive bouquet of red fruits, purple flowers and spice notes (clove?). The palate reflects the nose with a harmonious melange of fruit, flowers and spice with some savory herbs that are more prominent on the finish. Medium bodied, with good acidity and refined tannins. In a good place now, but with enough structure to drink well for a decade+ from vintage.
