Spicy blueberries, fresh plums with yeasty chocolate bread complemented by a whiff of violet and toasted clove on the nose. Reserved and closed, even after an hour in the decanter. The palate showed the classic Noon Reserve’s minerality, warm curry spices and black peppery notes with intense juicy fruits in the core. Full-bodied and uneven transition to finish for now. But tannins are very fine. Keep this for at least 3 more years for the components to find its inner balance. 91-93 pts
Re-tasted in Oct 2023. Not much has changed on the nose and palate. Just smoother transition to the finish. To increase by 1 pt to 92.
