Mid mahogany in colour with distinct soy, even touch volatile, clearly showing some age. The palate was developed, a little too much for my liking with again some VA and then undergrowth, preserved fruit, stewed red plum and red cherry, even wild strawberry. Quite distinct sinewy, firm tannins. Got a little better in the glass but to drink up.

Everything you could expect a superior village wine to have, and that may be an understatement! Great with grilled steelhead and marinated grilled veggies.

Very superior. Perfectly ripe and aged to perfection. One of the few red Burgundies that I have enjoyed sipping by itself, no cheese etc. The best french Burgundy I have ever had! Good value!

Better second day. Cork fell apart but came out ok.

Plum, violet, leather, earth. Perfectly integrated and very harmonious. Great with food or by itself. Must be at its peak right now.
