  From the Winery
  2019 was a really high-quality vintage but sadly had very, very low yields. The low yields were caused by dry conditions with the growing season only receiving 62% of average rainfall. The double whammy was severe frost in November and then we were hit by windy conditions at flowering just after.
  Because of the low yields and very small berries our 2019 Zinfandel is arguably the best we have made. It is certainly the plushest and richest. The nose is unmistakably Zinfandel in fruit character with distinct red fruit characters and some lovely spice. The wine is medium bodied and nicely structured finishing with soft tannins. 175 dozen made
  
  Colour deep red impenetrable purple hues magenta on the rim Cork closure minimal penetration 15/15
  Nose med+ intensity red fruits strawberry raspberry plum dark cherry , black pepper liquorice oak spices vanilla cloves cinnamon - which explains the phrase Christmas cake very layer nose 29/30
  Palate full bodied intense fruit flavours follow the nose , firm tannins good acidity thoughout the palate spicy , almost a touch of chilli , chocolate liquorice cassis long clean finish 42/44
  Overall the majority of this wines ends up in USA where it occupies 10% of vineyards , it has slightly softer tannins than Cabernet . I enjoyed the wine even though it is painfully young 10/11
