Heavy earthy linoleum and dark meat in the nose. A very full consistent taste with balanced fruit, a light oaky touch paired with dried fruits in the end. Very nice long finish.

Sight: Medium Dark Red; Clear wine Nose: Heat/acid; Some toasted oak; not a fruit forward wine Taste: Overall good; medium body….Acids were high but somewhat balanced with tannin…but left me feeling that it needed a little bit more grip Overall: Acceptable+ (88 points). I do have to note that this wine was wavering as I aerated kind of going back and forth and not in a single direction. Think it might have needed some additional decanting?

Spring time Tuscans (Coal Fire Pizza): nose: really shows off the vintage with loads of anise, dark cherry, cranberries, earth, and other dark red fruit tones
taste: a whole load of anise on the attack that leans into nice layered flavors of dark cherry, herbs, and plum tones
overall: a very full wine with excellent structure and a nice herbal finish. A real top notch wine that is just pure pleasure to drink

Cherry, peppers, strawberry, toasted coconut. All the tannins have faded completely leaving a mellow, unctuous finish.
