  Powerful, perfectly sweet fruit lifted by a hydraulic level of tannins. Abundant acidity also prevails. Get through your first several sips and it's smooth sailing, but every time you come back to it after a break, the tannins wallop you again. But oh man, this is a gorgeous and haunting wine. I love it, and even though the beautiful bouquet is open for business, these tannins will be prominent for quite some time.
