2019 Sandhi Wines Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard (10 months in puncheon barrels and 6 months in tank, 12.5%, 205 cases produced). Translucent light greenish-yellow…from a distance, one might mistake her garb for H2O. Aromas of faint, flowers, roasted almonds, yeast and citrus….adorable, friendly and softly inviting. Light-bodied, sprightly acidity, complex tropical fruits and pleasantly balanced…smooth, textured finish…a very carefree lil gal from the house next door. Easily can lay down for another 5+ years. Sir Buddy was very impressed 🐶. Grilled fish, fried morning glory and mixed veggies enjoyed the luving companionship of this elegant poppet 💃

Intellectually this is a fine wine, the anti Rombauer with med+ acidity, minerality, and the elements to please wine aficionados who post on message boards. But this just didn’t bring me joy or make me want to reorder.

Medium lemon colour. Medium and developing nose with yellow apples, ripe lemon, butter, toast, smoke, flint and wet stone. Medium (+) taste of yellow apples, ripe lemon, butter, toast, charred wood, flint and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. An outstanding Sandford & Benedict Chardonnay. Needed half an hour of air to open. Drink now or over the next ten years. Goes well with fish or shellfish.

Light body, minerality on offer, citrus, floral, honey, lightly roasted nuttiness. A classy, complex Chardonnay.

Mørkere strågul.
Strågul.
Lett fat og dyp sitrus og tropisk frukt. Mineralitet/saltpreg. Tyder på fedme.
Syren dominerer. Litt skarp med undervelt av frukt, selv om konsentrasjonen er høy. Lett oljete. Lett fatpreg.
Litt kantete med høy konsentrasjon. Matvin. Kvalitet, men ikke kosevin.
