  Muga always delivers on this wine. Never has let me down. Black current, leather and a smooth finish.

  Deep ruby in color, almost Inky, with a short reddish rim.
  
  Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
  
  Very dry on the palate with nice complexity.
  
  Showing blueberries, plums, cooked cherries, black currants, light cedar, dark coffee, chocolates, earth, peppercorn, pencil lead, tobacco leaf, light vegetables and bitter herbs.
  
  Short, tangy finish with fine grained tannins and pomegranates.
  
  This 8 year old Rioja Reserva is still young and very dry, but already drinkable.
  
  Lacking a bit of fruits on the palate, but the nose is gorgeous, once it opens up. The nose is more interesting than the palate at this point.
  
  Needs a few hours to open up properly, so take your time.
  
  Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years. Would be interesting to try it again in 5 years.
  
  A good food wine that will pair nicely with a nice piece of steak.
  
  A blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 7% Mazuelo and 3% Graciano.
  
  14.5% alcohol by volume.

  Muga Seleccion Especial 2016.
  
  Dyp klar rød .. en anelse mursteins farge .
  
  Intens , frisk , masse røde bær , jordbær ,jord , vanilje , krydder/urter på lukt
  
  På smak fruktig, lite fatpreg, nesten leskende. Kompleks , hærlige tanniner , lang lengde.
  
  Luftet 1 time på dekanter og deretter drukket utover kvelden .
  
  En vin som blir bare bedre .. hadde den sist for i underkant av et år siden . Heldigvis har jeg 4 flasker liggende ,men det får jeg bare prøve å glemme …
  
  Den fikk følge av panert,smørstekt kalvefillet fylt med jarlsberost . Fløtepoteter . Soppsaus , fylt tomat , gulerøtter og brokkoli.. Sånn passe greit følge.

  Nose: rose petal, red fruit
  Taste: Delicious! Deep black and purple fruit, nicely structured with acids and tannins in balance, a long lasting berry, chocolatey, and cedar finish. Add it all up and maybe given a bit of time, you might interpret the finish as having a more red meat and cherry flavour. Probably a medium+ bodied wine but seems a little lighter than expected.
