  • Complex nose of herbs, roasted coffee, dark cherries, some graphite. Elegant, structured, muscular, but resolved.

  • Full bodied, balanced and elegant with refined tannins. Not mind blowing, but really good.

  • Decanted for 2 hours.
    100% Bobal.
No vintage. Blend of several vintages (2005-10%, 2006-60% and 2007-30%). Aged in French oak barrels of fine grain (70% new and 30% second use). Stay in bottle 12 months before marketing.
Nice on the nose with wild berries, blackberry jam, floral scents and alcohol. On the palate, this is full bodied, nice tannins, but a bit too astringent. This is very good anyway. I'll wait another 2-3 years to open the other bottle. 90+

  • Intense color on this wine with lots of berry notes, anise, mint, barnyard touches, and cherry fruit. Complex and developing nose that seems to change with each sniff! Soft and gentle in the mouth with firm fine tannins, liquorice, cherry, and vanilla. This is a wine that is supple like a silk glove and nuanced like a Greek philosopher. So many unique traits through out it, and yet far from obvious. Even 3 days later it stirs thought as to what it's true nature is. Seek out this wine. 4.5/5

  • The Bobal is a coupage made from 2002, 2003 and 2004 vintages of 100% Bobal fermented in french oak. The color is incredibly concentrated inky purple. The nose is evolves over time, slowly allowing aromas to escape one by one: black olives, menthol, black minerals, wet earth and bitter chocolate. Good body, elegant mouthfeel but a powerfully short finish. Intense flavors of spice, chocolate and licorice on the palate. Complex without being overwhelming. 4/5
