  • Light- to medium bodied, pretty and translucent red, earthy notes that lessen with air. Almost recognizable as new world gamay (yet with enough funk and complexity to make me wonder). Better/more interesting than the last time we tried it.

  • My first experience with this wine. I have had other division Gamay though. PNP. Cork was perfect. Color light crimson. Nose definitely shows its carbonic background with bright cherry and pepper. Swishing shows mostly acid structure. Sipping shows great balance and a pleasant medium length finish. Longer than expected for a gamay. Not as serious in my opinion as the Methven but pretty darn good. I think benefits from air tonight

  • Very fragrant nose. The carbonic process is present, though not quite as strong as a classic Beaujolais. Underripe strawberries and pepper. Body is thin with a high acid. The palate is clean, but the fruit does not come through super strong. Finish is a bit harsh because of the acid.

Overall, somewhat underwhelming as compared to other Gamays. Though this is a still developing grape in Oregon, so I look forward to future vintages.
