Pnp. Dark nose shows graphite, ink and some floral components. Tons of fine-grained tannins hit the front palate but as the wine sees more air these soften and integrate better.
Heavy and dark, you know this is all dark fruit; while really hard to discern any particular flavors, you can clearly pick out young oak. As others note this will benefit from a bit more aging. We can regularly find this on sale for $42 in a local supermarket chain, and it clearly We're over delivers for the price
Has the potential to add a point or two with time.

Popped and poured over about 3 hours, had the most gorgeous nose of cassis, blackberry and tobacco very dense and classic Napa on the nose. Flavors were a bit of a let down as, especially in the first hour, there was a heavy vanilla/oak taste that did dissipate over time. Nice balanced mouthfeel with low tannins and acid, long finish. I’m going to try to give my remaining bottles more time to allow the oak to integrate, was still very pleasurable and perfectly drinkable it just seems to have more potential. Very nice.

The aronia rides to the rescue of the dominant earth and light body mentioned in the earliest notes, very much in contrast to my chewy, fruit-forward expectations of Cali cab (an aspect of this pastime about which I acknowledge knowing little)
That's some really tortured syntax, but I'm gonna leave it up for the lulz. Just accept it, like an hommage to the much to my decibel's dismay line in Couples, or Frank Drebin
$20 a half @Bauer
4 night verdict: too diluted & short

Good, but lacking complexity.
