Way too young, super concentrated even after 2 hours of decanting, needs many years to develop. After 4 hours, started to open up with some fruits and mild complexity, but deserves many more years in the bottle before it can be a thought again.

Château Le Crock, Saint-Estèphe, 2018: This is the mevushal version available in the USA. Dark, impenetrable purple. On the nose, ripe black fruits, dried flowers, tobacco, spices, and hints of wet earth. Full-bodied, extracted, with a velvety texture. On the palate, ripe black fruit, juicy blackberries, and black currants, licorice, loamy dirt, graphite, rich tobacco, iron, with medium-plus acidity and ripe, searing tannins, as well as notes of nutmeg and black pepper on the long and generous finish. Very nice, although a drop behind the 2016. Drink 2024-2031. 14.5% Abv. 91
