  • This was good enough for the $13 I paid, although even for that price I've had more complete wine.

Fairly reticent on the nose, slightly unpleasant peppery reductive notes thankfully blow off quickly and show a very subtle ripe red plum tone. Not much more to it than that on the nose, I did like the fruit, it just wasn't very present.

The palate was a little better, somewhat clearer fruit on the entry with surprisingly good acidity. More of a juicy darkish cherry vibe good brightness and energy without feeling out of balance.

It's definitely solid and thankfully feels like real wine, but in general this was closer to "simple and boring" than "simple and delicious". What's more, their barely more expensive "Tres Picos" cuvee is much better QPR, not a complex wine either, but extremely expressive and fun.

  • Lacks aroma. Light bodied spicy high toned fruit (as in shellac like) entry. A comfortable and light spiced wine lacking any pretense of Garnacha character, should not offend anyone as a vin de tavola. Bottle says 14.5% taste says less.
