Medium plus intensity on the nose. Ripe black fruit, cassis, slate and sweet spice. Medium acidity and mellowed tannins. The 15% alcohol under check. Good finish. Paired with Mediterranean kebab dishes. Will hold other bottle for additional complexity.

Opened in the bottle for a few hours. Significantly less density than the VV and also seemingly more new oak. Still it’s good for the $40-60 range. Coconut, anise, milk chocolate and some vegetal funk. Medium bodied but plush give the Mourvèdre (40%). Probably best in a few years.

See previous notes. Too ripe. Hopefully it’ll mellow out and find balance with time.
