Under screw cap. “Rua” means two in Te Reo Maori and the Rua is Akarua’s second pinot. It is typically - as here - an excellent moderately priced everyday drinking wine. Reflecting the 2019 vintage in Bannockburn/Pisa in Central Otago, the 2019 Rua was a succulent, bright, largely red fruited pinot. Reflecting 2020 in Bannockburn/Pisa, this wine is more savoury, earthy and black fruited. It’s not as immediately delicious and vibrant but some may prefer less apparent fruit sweetness.
