Super high-quality. Exceptional depth to the dark cherry fruit, violet, perfumed rose, eucalyptus- so much energy and verve. Untamed nobility. This is Sangiovese in capital letters and is totally compelling on the nose. It’s brighter, lighter and tangier on the palate: nice red fruit concentration with a ferrous edge, fine tannins and acidity that’s just one step below searing but gives a refreshing juicy finish. The pricing is punchy but the style is fantastic.
