A unique sensory experience and one I would like to repeat! The vivid golden yellow color is stunning. The recent notes capture this blockbuster Sicilian white better than I would, and I would add that this has an elegant acidic presence that reminds me of an old Chardonnay yet this is very fresh. More precisely, an old German Chard masquerading as a Burgundy. The minerality is equally intense and borders on savory, yet sip after sip, this is a clean, young wine. Perplexing. So is Catarratto my new favorite Italian white grape? Ciao!

Double blind tasting Medium gold color Medium plus aromas of lemon/ pear and citrus oil with white florals and green leaf Medium bodied with palate of ripe lemon and florals - unique chlorophyll notes and salinity Medium plus acidity with medium alcohol and moderate phenolic bitterness Medium plus length led by minerality and phenolics I went with Falanghina based on phenolics and this leafy/ chlorophyll aspect I was impressed with this wine - has significant character for Cataratto Drink now

Pale gold. Some bubbles on the glass Aromatics medium. Yellow apple, pear followed by yellow floral. After a fair amount of time in the glass, changed to citrus with lemon oils. Quite luscious nose. No new oak. Palate has a medium body. Acid medium +. Mild phenolics. Alcohol medium. Lemons, salt and limes Finish has a medium + length. Balance towards the acid though Dry glass notes of green leaf First time with this grape. Overall, impressed and given the price would try again. Drink now

Stone fruit, waxy, floral notes with very moderate acidity. I think I’d drink this soon to take advantage of the remaining acidity.
