  • Brewed on July 13th, 2016, best before July 13th, 2018. 9,5% alcohol.

Clear lemon yellow color with subtly greenish highlights and a big, foamy white head. Classic, nuanced nose of grainy malts, sweet honey, some phenolic peppery tones, a little bit of baking spice and a hint of stone fruit. The beer is dry, full-bodied and spicy on the palate with flavors of grainy malt, some tart wheat character, a little bit of exotic spices, light ripe citrus fruits tones and a herby hint of noble hops. Ample yet soft carbonation along with quite modest hop bitterness. Despite its richness the beer feels surprisingly bright and refreshing. The finish is quite dry, spicy and slightly warm with rather long flavors of grainy malt, some grassy noble hops, a little bit of honey and a hint of cantaloupe.

A classic, sophisticated Tripel. Exhibiting all the hallmarks of the genre. Very balanced and surprisingly refreshing despite the sweet undertones and relatively high alcohol. Well-made and delightful.
