Opened to put in coq au vin but couldn't resist drinking some after having a sip. Like most of Tardy's wine, this drinks way above its paygrade. Lovely ripe black and red fruits w very nice acidity that would make this great on the table. No green at all.

Good food wine with nice acidity. Some what funky on the nose. Not a lot of depth but quite nice with food. Would not want to drink this without food though.

Bright but bricking red. Rather low toned, with steak au poivre character. The peppercorns are more of the green variety in the mouth, with a structure that comes across as strident without being blatantly tannic or acidic; perhaps this is from bitterness rather than real structure. Fine finish, but this needs a lot of food to stand up to the bitterness.

Nice wine, cool, balanced, pure, Christmas spice, no apparent oak, fine now, made me think of a blend of 98 and 01. Clean, refreshing, good with food, not great.

Very good QPR. After an hour or so in the glass, very approachable now.
