  • N: Lemon, fresh sea breeze.
P: plump texture would suppose some oak contact, but it is tank fermented...perhaps aged in oak? Had an atypical taste profile. Was my first finger lakes riesling...I really enjoyed this, and it was a surprise to taste this in Riesling. Good wine.

  • Golden yellow, with a strong nose of apple cider and some candle wax. Medium acidity with a metallic but also somewhat round mouthfeel. The previous description of calvados is right on, it has a little more red apple skin flavor with some ethyl acetate odors. The finish is slightly bitter but reminiscent of dried apricots. This bottle was not treated the best over the last five years, but it has held up quite well and probably had plenty more life left.

  • Well, this is... interesting. No more fruit on the nose, only petrol fumes, maybe closer to vaseline than gasoline. The palate is clean and crisp, but the attack is all oil and minerals, with the only trace of fruit being some lemons on the finish. I really doubt more time in bottle is going to bring back and deepen the flavours that disappeared.

  • Bien fait, très riesling, légère trace de sucre résiduel

  • Very good riesling! The nose is very mineral with hint of white fruit and a touch of lemon. The palate starts off with pears, then makes a sudden transition to petrol. Then the acidity comes through, with a splash of citrus fruit. The finish is fairly long and reminds me of clementines. Who said good riesling only came out af Alsace and Germany ?

New York Cork Report

(Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars Riesling) Lime is the central aroma here. Tank aging on the lees gives this light-bodied wine a little more mouthfeel that you might expect (and even a little spiciness) and there are loads of juicy lime flavors with secondary ripe tropical ones. There is a very distinct pineapple note in the mid-palate that is really nice. The acidity is fresh but elegant...not racy or overly tart. The wine is impeccably balanced as it moves over your palate. A squirt of fresh lime and just a little minerality mark a finish that lingers just a bit. This is a fine example of dry Finger Lakes riesling
