Decanted for 3 hours. Tasted side by side with Tignanello 2009 and Cepparello 1999. Oh boy, an absolute winner that night. Deep aromatics of stewed black and blue fruit, black currant and blueberry in particular. Followed by liquorice, creme de cassis, vanilla and spices. Thick smooth tannins (surprisingly smooth for hot 2003). Long, persistent and silky finish coupled with perfect acidity. Very memorable wine. Drink now, but no need to rush as it has a structure to safely age for another 3-4 years . Highly recommended!

Plutôt décevant. Très tannique, même astringeant. Nez "bretté". En dessous du Piastraia du même producteur Michele Satta.
