  • Easter Sunday, cowboy bone in ribeyes. My son and wife keep bringing up the ‘16 Hourglass Blueline Cab we had to celebrate his birthday. So, I saw an opportunity to pop a ‘19. two hours slow ox, double decant. Ripe Calistoga fruits, blackberries, blueberries, and Morello cherries. Forest floor, currant leaf, hint of mocha. Great energy, young. Perfectly delicious but best tea in another year.
At this moment in time, ‘16 is better by a point or two

  • Decanted 2 hours, fragrant in the glass, aroma of cassis, flowers and mint, full bodied, balanced with lifted acidity and judicious oak, classy, complete, expressive flavors of blackberry, raspberry, dried cherry, leather and tobacco, still juicy with a long lasting finish, continues to open with no signs of slowing down, a winner

  • First one of these in about a year, decanted for 2+ hours and enjoyed over 4 more til gone.......Dark purple in the glass, nose of sweet, lush, ripe Napa fruit with a hint of forest floor. Palate is expansive with dark red/black fruit, jammy and a bit out of balance early on but settles into a mid heavyweight over 3-4 hours when it's drinking its best. However, even after another year's wait, this still feels like its best days are another year or two away.

  • Opened this for my welcome back Mark1Npt and spouse cookout at my place. About 3 hours of air and I felt this wine was still way primary and grapey. Decent balance of tannins and acid - just too much fruit at this stage.

Drinkable now for fruit firsters but a year or two away for me 92 HMC

  • Young cab, needs few hours in Decanter but incredible. Again the aromas are off the charts, pretty, mesmerizing and super attractive! Ripe dark fruits infused with vanilla bean, floral, toasted nuts, soft cedarwood and roasted coffee. Palate is juicy at first, silky, bright but needs few more years to get integrated. Vibrant acidity and firm tannins on nice long finish.
