From Coravin. At pnp months ago. This was overly tight and dry. Didn’t get a good reception from Flom (or myself for that matter, it showed lean ATT). Here, big, but not OTT, complex, light floral note, good fruit. Medium tannin, maybe I’d even say med minus. More black cherry than blackberry. Chewy, but not overly so.

Enjoyed at Elizabeth's in Marquette with wagyu and bison. A beautiful wine that has balance & grace. Drinking now with a decant, but the next 3-5 will tell. A nice representation of the AVA

First time trying this producer. I liked this wine but didn’t think it was particularly amazing. Color is a medium-dark purple red, and surprisingly translucent for such a young wine. We drank decanted. Initial nose was tight, but after about an hour in the glass it opened up nicely. Nose had a lot of sweet, ripe blue and red fruit which was offset nicely with some earthy elements of tobacco and cedar. Tannins were medium and appropriate. But the wine lacked a bit of “weight” especially being only a few years old. Maybe more skin contact or barrel time might’ve brought it up a notch, but I don’t think this wine will not necessarily develop any interesting complexity in the coming years.

An excellent Napa cab. Haven't had this in a while and it did not disappoint.

Larkmead visit with Z+L and E+R: Nice round typical Napa cab. Young tannins that need to soften. Good balance. Dusty, fruit-forward, not over-ripe.
Give this wine at least a few years - recommend 2025+.
