Decanted and left to sit for a bit, the initial taste was clean and pure with primarily cherry and a touch of plum. We talked little about the wine. After all, it was but a side note to the evening. But yet it was a constant reminder of our bond - a wine my host enjoys and from the scion’s birthyear; a wine that looks back and yet looks forward while still very much in the present. Some small amount of sediment. 90% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. 14.1% alc. With pork shanks and collards at Miller’s in Winston-Salem with the Scoggins. Although this is not a great wine or wine of great complexity, for its time and place, it rates - Recommended.
