Color: dark for a merlot, nice and thick, it avoids the problem of being too thin like some merlots Nose: It has a simple nose, but it is a very good nose none the less. The only smell you get is of a deep cherry flavor, but it is such a real smell it feels like you are actually smelling crushed cherries. Taste: It tastes great as wine that can be drank by itself or with a simple meal. As with the nose, it kind of has a simple one flavor taste, so it might not stand up to every type of food. But it is great in the fact that you get the complete cherry flavor. At first, you just taste the cherry flavor with a little acid taste, as would be expected from a merlot. But then it feels like you go straight down the vine as it goes to the midpallete and finish. On the mid pallete, you get that vegetable flavor; and then on the afterfinish, you get that dirt with a light fertilizer feel along with the tannens. And the great thing about it isn't overpowering the cherry in anyway. You still have all the cherry flavors, and then the next flavor blends with the last flavor instead of replacing it. Overall a good wine and worth the money if you have it.
