  • Tasted blind. Nose is dominated by camembert cheese. A bit odd. Still some brioche and apples as well to hint at champagne. Lots of intense bubbles on the initial mouthfeel. After that, the fruit comes through. It has all the components of a champagne, but seems put together a bit strange, and feels disjointed in a way. Still a very good wine, but without the completeness of its french father.

  • BdB. 288 bottles to Norway. Initially fresh strawberry on the nose, but this quickly faints, and leaves a smell of freshly baked bread and green apples. Dry. Small, persistant bubbles. Crisp acidety. Apples, citrus and toast on the palate. Long and fresh exit, with bitter lemon. A really fresh and inviting sparkling from Kent, that also show of some time on the lees 🍾
