A fabulous bottle. Insanely reductive on opening with definite barrel toast. 2 tasters called PYCM blind. There is fabulous density and concentration on the palate, with clean notes of lemon, white peach, and a nice bit of singed brown sugar on its rather lengthy finish. Hard to ask a white burg to be much more, this was pretty grand. VDJ has become one of my very favorites producers on the white side.
Plenty of smoky mineral aromas, along with mildly exotic notes of rockmelon, guava and pineapple husk. There some honeysuckle and vanilla spice too. It is full and fleshy and draws on to a point of minerally precision and then drives on. Wonderful proportion and balance and starting to drink really well.

Tasted multiple times, always with similar notes and score -- the 19's from Janthial are so good... and Meix Cadot is particularly exceptional!

Light with pretty white fruit and moderate reduction. Substantially different from the VV but a good sample of the house style. 91-92
