This is really enjoyable. It needs about a day to open up and even then still comes across as rather youthful and primary. For reference, the 18 moved along quite a bit faster than this one has. It smells like the inside of a beautifully toasted barrel. Notes of blackcurrant and lots of yogurt, almost like a kir royal with heavy cream. This wine has a long way to go before it turns the corner of age. Plush in texture, it is delicious in its own right and will capture the attention of those who enjoy bdx style blends from Napa. Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon showing through at the moment.

Quite “delicious” with 3+ hours of air - aromatics big but are hiding with a little alcohol showing on the nose, but plenty of tasty black and red fruits, spices (cocoa?), hint of mint, killer tasty finish that lingers. Will be phenomenal in a few years and glad to have a few to follow. Next bottle 2025-2026ish?

Pretty damn solid. Back fruited and spicy, with the cab franc definitely giving this energy and complexity. Tannins present but behind the fruit. Oak influence needs some serious air—or a couple years of bottle age.

Wow, the bright red berry and pomegranate notes really pop on day #2. I recommend a long decant here as the lactic, oaky notes were more prevalent on the initial pour. Really delicious expression and one that comes off as interesting rather than monolithic. This is more berry driven than the 18 was at this stage (that one seemed a bit more savory and more like a bdx blend) but altogether enjoyable

One of the best wines I've opened this year. A 2 hour decant definitely helped. Do not PnP. Very aromatic with Black and red fruit, cassis, minerals and chocolate. Layers of flavor showing more red and black fruits, cassis, chocolate, black tea, minerals. Smooth tannins in a long finish. Beautiful balance.
