This is a perfectly lovely minor Cotes de Beaune appellation with good purity, an appealing lightness and nice length. No need to let it age into something deeper - it’s fine as it is and might even be less appealing when it loses the energy of its youth. Decent QPR for $24 on WineText but not for $50 at regular retail.

When first opened this has a very lactic, yogurty character which combined with the raspberry fruit makes it taste pretty much like raspberry Yoplait. The yogurt clears up some (not entirely) with air but the raspberry intensifies and is joined by some muddy earth.
Mild grainy tannins, M acid, middleweight feel. This is perfectly enjoyable as a fruit forward Pinot now but it’s young and I’m hoping with cellar time it’ll turn out a little more interesting. As is, 6.1-6.2/10.
Good value for the $23 I paid from WineText, probably not at retail.

Purple color. Thin and not that memorable but still had nice smells of earth and typical burgundy acidity. Tasted of crunchy light fruit, a bit more like west coast pinot but perhaps with more acidity and definitely more interesting on the nose.
I feel like this could improve with 1-2 more years in the bottle.
Paid $25 shipped through winetext. Not bad and am satisfied that I have a few more but I probably won't get any more on their second chance deals.
