  I don't think I've ever had a more bombastic wine than this. Plum and blackberry jam, pepper. Thick, dusty, silky. Too over the top to drink on its own on Day 1. Softened on Day 2.

  Kurt Venge has a knack for making highly drinkable wines. His zinfandels as just so good. It's a shame there is only one Venge zinfandel offering. I know Venge has multiple new single vineyard cabernets coming out post-pandemic, but wish there were more zins. Drinking very well now. Don't wait!!!
