  Light and fruity on the nose. I chilled it and really took the edge off. Blackberry and raspberry notes and a smooth finish.

  We decided to serve this chilled to lighted the body. Notes of ripe berries on the nose with a smooth finish.

  Chinese five spice duck was on the menu tonight with a bing cherry sauce (madeira, soy sauce and cayenne). Decided to pair with the 2019 Saurus Select Pinot Noir from Schroeder Wines. Wow… This Patagonia Pinot packs a punch. Damron Quaffer Alert! This is the best Pinot Noir I’ve ever tasted for $16…! Notes of bright cherry, strawberry, mint and raspberry. A round, powerful wine with vibrant acidity. Megan commented the minerality was pronounced as the bones on the label. Full disclosure: Schroeder sent me a couple bottles to taste and I was looking forward to trying them. However I was not expecting this kind of quality - so much so I just ordered a couple cases to have over the upcoming holidays. Amazing wine. -DD93
