Another new batch for me: 95/5 PN Vertus /C Mesnil-sur-Oger Tirage 06/2018; disgorged 02/2023; dosage 4g/l
The higher PN component gives a much more intense scarlet hue to the wine than earlier batches. On first opening the wine is a little tart, closed and unapproachable, but it opens up very nicely with ~20 minutes air.
Then, but only then, this batch aligns with my earlier TN: "The nose brings quite rich red fruits overlaid with minerality. The palate is really nicely balanced for my taste. Crisp acidity, red fruit that sits nicely between tart and rich, and a sort of granite minerality that persists with some light tannins into the quite lengthy and more-ish finish."
This excellent wine will continue to be a repeat buy for me at ~US$47 that I paid.

A new batch for me: 80/20 PN/C as before (see TN below). Tirage 06/2017. Disgorgement 11/2021; 4g/l dosage.
So this batch got 4 years on the lees rather than 3 years for the earlier batch. The result is pretty similar to my recollection of the previous bottles: perhaps a little more vinous red fruit character and a little less of that granite minerality. But equally good.
This is excellent with Asian food and light-medium spices. Perhaps a little too vinous as an aperitif for many palates.

This is really rather nice indeed... 80% PN (Vertus), 20% C (Mesnil-sur-Oger) Tirage 6-2016 Disgorgement 7-2019; dosage 4g/l

Overall this is very much to my taste, going well as an aperitif and then pairing with some Vietnamese food. And very decent QPR at the ~US$46 that I paid.

Wunderbare Erd- und Himbeeraromen; perfektes Säures-Fruchtspiel; komplex und vielschichtig. Passt hervorragend zu Fondue-Chinoise und fettigen Saucen.
