  • I tried this again over the weekend at Haggis' house. Much better this time around. Smooth without any heaviness. Notes of creamy vanilla and pear. 90 points

  • Scubarex brought this wine to the Chicago Steak Out on Sunday. It was a nice wine but uninspiring in my opinion. California SB's have never done much for me. 14.3% alcohol but no heat on this wine. A little funk on the nose. Pale yellow color. Moderate legs. Good white fruit notes but faded a little on the finish. 86 points.

  • My wife asked me to bring up a white wine to go with shrimp and feta with tomatos. She needed half a cup for the recipe. Since I had a bottle of this from being captive on Martinelli's list, I thought I'd open it to have with dinner and sacrifice half a cup for the cooking. On the nose it was slightly herbaceous wtih tastes of lemongrass. On the palate there were flavors of melon, grapefruit and lime. Nicely acidic but not overwhelmingly so. It held up to the feta well and went perfectly with the shrimp. Fairly crisp and clean finish. I enjoyed it.
