  • Opaque, almost black. Beautiful dark fruit nose. Soft front palate, melts in to your mouth. Mostly fruit, but not sweet, soft prune is the dominant flavor. Tannins are very distant, mild acid finish, very mild oaks in the background. Some will accuse of unbalance and one dimensionality, but oh my what a beautiful palate. I found this to be almost exceptional, ran out and found another dozen to add to the cellar.

  • Decanted for an hour and tasted off a bit tangy. Actually wasn’t a fan and was going to cook with it. Left it in the fridge in the decanter for 24 hours and this was about the best wine I’ve ever had. Smooth sweet light on the palate.
