I tend to gravitate toward, and enjoy, the Italian and Spanish roses over the lighter, paler Provençal style from southern France. The darker, richer, and heftier styles are right up my alley, and subsequently, I love this Sangiovese based rose. I find them very food friendly and a great substitute for a lighter bodied red.
Displays a clear pale purple / bright medium ruby color and a medium minus body. Aroma and flavor profile displays purple and red florals, floral cherry blossom turns into cherry pit on the palate, along with spicy rhubarb, ripe strawberry, and wild raspberry underscored with a vein of crunchy red stones. Medium plus acidity provides balance and sets up a long, dry finish. Perfect with the “Baja Taco” flavored cashews. Excellent if you like the style.

This wine's closest relative is strawberry soda pop. Which sounds awful, but I absolutely loved strawberry soda pop as a child and this wine brought on the warm fuzzies. I could drink it all summer long.

Vivid dark pink color, a color I avoid in new world roses but embrace in Italian versions. Juicy, vibrant on the palate with with oodles of midpalate fruit (strawberry, pomegranate) and a clean, dry finish.

Clean cherries. Finish in long for rose, a little watermelon jolly rancher at the end.

Pretty tasty! Color of a Tavel but not the oomph. Nice…No big whoop
